Gun Trio Offset Wk – Verticals

The offensive we use for the Tight End Hot Routes: Delay Fade breakdown is Wk – Verticals.

First thing we do is hot route the tight end on a delay fade.

In the image above, notice the tight end is now running the delay fade route.

Next, we motion the runningback to the right and hot route him on a wheel route.

Tip: If you don't want to motion the runningback, you can hot route him on a swing route to the right. You could also motion the middle slot receiver to the right. Mainly just want to occupy the curl flat defender.

We snap the ball and initially the tight end stays into pass block.

The reason we motion the runningback to the right and hot route him on a wheel route is we want to clear out the curl flat defender out.

Once the tight ends releases out icon pops up, we press the button so he releases on his delayed fade route.

Notice no defenders are even close to him once we throw the ball to him.

The tight end makes the grab and heads up the field.

Final Thoughts:

The tight end delay pass routes are our favorite tight end hot route in Madden 20. If our opponent likes to call zone coverage or drops 9,10, or 11 defenders into zone coverage, you can bet we will use this pass route to beat that pass coverage.
