Quick Setup:
- No pre-snap adjustments needed.
Coaching Points:
- To get three receivers off the line of scrimmage without being pressed, motion the slot tight end to the left and snap the ball before he sets. This will allow him to get off the line of scrimmage without being pressed.
- The slot receiver running the post route should be your first read. There are two points during his route where he will be open. The first point is before he breaks towards the post. The second point is shortly after he breaks towards the post. Make sure the safety split out wide or where there is no safety playing the deep middle such as against cover 0 defense.
- The next read you should make is the inside tight end who is running the crossing route. Wait for him to get a few steps on the defender that is covering him.
- The final read you should make will be the tide in that is running the whip route. He will be open once he breaks towards the sideline.
- The only other route you might throw to is the curl route that is run by the split end. Just keep in mind he will be pressed at the line of scrimmage.
