For this Madden Plays breakdown we look at the 3-4 Under OLB Strike 2. This zone-blitz brings Edge pressure from the two outside linebackers. The setup we are about to show is easy to set up because it requires just moving one defender.

Quick Set-Up:
- Take control of the RILB and move him down near the line of scrimmage between the left guard and left tackle.
- Once the ball is snapped, slant the RILB towards the left tackle (watch the video for better understanding).
- Once the C commits to blocking the RILB release or drop him into pass coverage.
Coaching Points:
- The design of the 3-4 Under – OLB Strike 2 comes from the left outside linebacker.
- Best to run against base and compress formations.
- Consider running this defense down inside the critical zone.
- If your opponent offense is in the critical zone consider hot routing the two safeties in vertical hooks. This adjustment will put them in a better position to defend the short pass over the middle.
