For this Madden Plays breakdown, we want to look at a defense out of the 4-3 Even 6-1. The name of the defense is called Sam Blitz 3. The pressure of this defense comes from the left outside linebacker. However, for this breakdown we are going to show you it can come from multiple defenders are on the field. The three defenders that the pressure comes from the Sam Blitz 3 is the right outside linebacker, the weak-side defensive tackle, and the left outside linebacker.

Quick Set-Up:
- Hot route the ROLB to blitz
- Hot route WDT to bluff blitz
- Take control of another defender (optional)
Coaching Points:
- Pressure comes from one of three defenders. In most cases it's the right outside linebacker, the left outside linebacker and the weak-side defensive tackle. However, there are times when at least two of those three defenders may get pressure on the quarterback.
- If you like you can switch to another defender. If you do this there is a good chance that the weak-side defensive tackle will look like he's going to bring pressure up the middle through the A gap.

The 4-3 Even 6-1 – Sam Blitz 3 is a defense that can definitely bring pressure on the quarterback. It's not guaranteed to always do so, but it's something you can certainly look at to get that pressure on the quarterback from multiple defenders.
